The average person consumes 70 000 micro plastics a year.
Just a quick one this week, yet a powerful message.
It is truly horrifying to think that if we continue polluting like we do today, then by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And the plastic isn’t only harming aquatic life but we are harming ourselves. The average person eats 70,000 micro plastics a year, this can decrease our life expectancy significantly.
You could argue that we only live once and that we should live carefree. In addition, we may develop the technology to move to a different planet, if Earth becomes uninhabitable, however, that is not the correct thing to do.
We must protect Earth, because it is our only current option, it is the most beautiful thing we know and because it is the honorable thing to do.
Thank you.
